Cath Lab Techs

If you’re a registered cardiovascular invasive specialist (RCIS) or a certified radiologic technologist (ARRT) with a passion for cardiovascular care, a career in the cath lab may be the perfect fit for you.

Advance Your Cardiovascular Technologist Career

In the cath lab, you’ll work alongside a physician, a nurse, and other clinical support staff. The cath lab team works together to ensure that patients receive the best possible care. You’ll help patients with things like monitoring blood pressure, heart rate and other vital signs.

The skills you gain while working in the cath lab will be extremely valuable in advancing your career. You will learn how to work as part of a team, identify and respond to emergencies, and manage stressful situations.

Cath Lab Tech Salary

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the median annual wage for cardiovascular technologists, including cath lab techs, was $60,570 as of May 2021. But your compensation will vary depending on factors such as your level of education and training, years of experience, the location of the position, and the medical facility.

The BLS projects that employment for cardiovascular technologists will grow much faster than average for all occupations through 2031, so now is an exciting time to be in the field.
